Volvo has always put the human in center. Whether it comes to safety, design or the driving experience itself, a Volvo is designed around you. Even their TV-spots are so emotionally tailored to the Swedish population that they create a national sense of pride. How do you make their digital presence do the same? 
 
We set a bold design direction that contrasts the emotional and immersive parts of the Volvo brand against a brutal simplicity. A clear design direction together with a robust design system enables us to design and build faster - creating a better and more coherent user experience across multiple products and platforms.

Build your Volvo

With billions of possible configurations this is not your ordinary online configurator. The challenge here was to create an experience that kept focus on the car while at the same time handling massive amounts of information, options and features. And oh, it needed to be consistent across a responsive web, iOS, Android and big screen installations across showrooms in Sweden.

My Volvo

Driving a car is awesome. Owning a car sucks. So we built My Volvo – a smart assistant that automate and eliminate every annoyance that goes with car ownership. To handle the uniqueness of every use case and the organic nature of the assistant we needed to build a design system that could handle anything thrown at it.
